Description

This chain necklace was designed by observing the sun's rays passing through some openings of some remarkable Persian domes and architecture. The jewelry is characterized by a strong influence of geometrical patterns: triangles and trapezoidal, tridimensional figures following Persian architecture's stylistic principles: panj kaseh-i, or "the five concaves."
It is shown in the small details of the angular and pointy motives and the intersection of lines creating further repetitions. Along the length of the gold chain are two alternated motifs with geometrical indent shapes that play a role in the volumes and light shadows. Because the long chain, of circa 98 cm, will always make the small designs spin around, we used this feature to become the main characteristic of the necklace by applying a decoration on both sides of each motif, so every time you wear this chain, the motif will reveal one or the other of its precious sides.
On one side are an indented design and custom-made geometrical-cut Ceylon-unheated- purple sapphires framed by indented plain purple gold. On the other side are repetitions of the same shapes but with studs in pyramidal/cuneiform volumes framed by shades of Tsavorites and Diamonds
These geometrical architectonic patterns were even the inspiration for the lobster clasp. The chain can be worn long or twisted in the two shortest lines around the neck.
