Description
These earrings draw inspiration from the curvilinear decorated motifs of the elaborate French ironwork of the 17th century.
A graceful frame of white diamonds crowned is reminiscent of the gilded gates of Versailles. The earrings, with delicate details, pays homage to Marie Antoinette Queen of France, who lived with her husband, Louis XVI, in one of the most exquisite and majestic palaces of France- Versailles.
The gallery features an intricate curvy design with the "fleur de lys" symbol of the French Crown. In the Court's baroque gardens, an oblivious aristocracy strolls peacefully looking at the stars, ignorant of the upcoming French Revolution... We can still imagine the ladies wearing meters of embroidered silk in soft pastels, with their flamboyant wigs and delicately crocheted parasols in precious "dentelle." Elegant young courtesans would show their status with extravagant "bijoux de corset" in bows and "tremblant" flowers or "girandole" earrings, as they wandered the chateau's majestic gardens and observed the stars through the lavish golden gates.
