SEVEN PRINCESSES - RAYS OF LIGHT EARRINGS

These earrings represent the rays of light passing through some domes and roofs of Persian architecture in a simplified way. The jewel is characterized by a strong influence of geometrical patterns: kite shapes and trapezoidal, tridimensional figures following Persian architecture's stylistic principles called panj kaseh-i, or "the five concaves."
The volumes, which apparently are bidimensional and simple, are actually characterized by a rhomboidal section with protuberant surfaces playing with the light and reflecting it on the back. Within the central areas of each pointy and angular frame are set three lavender- purplish color unheated sapphires that have been cut according to our designs. They reproduce some typical kite-shaped patterns of Persian architecture. Suppose you look at the back of the earrings; you will notice their butterflies which are a simplified reproduction of some of the historical houses' rooftops and details of some of the most refined architectures in Persia. These are engraved with the intersection of geometrical lines creating small elongated lozenges. Each pointy corner terminates with a small set diamond. When you look at the section of the gem-set areas in contrast with lines of plain gold, it gives the whole jewel a volumetric feeling.
Below the three sapphires is a hexagonal diamond that hides a mechanism on its back, allowing the attachment of an enhanced hook with dangling golden/champagne color pearls. The two South Sea round pearls of 11.8 mm and their enhancers can be worn separated from the earrings and become a central pendant dangling in the middle of a simple chain.
