LIONFISH RING

This ring features two Lionfish with crossing tails. A tribute to Chinese culture, according to Feng Shui, the two contrasting colours represent Yin and Yang. The dorsal fins are set with diamonds using a microscope and the pectoral fins embrace impressive gemstones that symbolize the cloudy water stirred up by the fins in order to move away as fast as possible and escape danger.
The lionfish is one of the most venomous yet flamboyant creatures of the coral reef and, in tropical waters, assumes a brighter coloration with amazing multiple striped patterns. The pectoral fins are like enormous fans and serve as camouflage when hiding in seaweed or, when completely open, are used to scare larger predators or block the escape of smaller prey.
The glossy effect of the fish eyes is achieved using a blue moonstone cabochon engraved on the back to allow the insertion of a black diamond as a pupil. In the gallery, designs of stylized fish scales and two little octopuses with black diamond eyes can be seen.
