ROBERTO DEMEGLIO IS BORN IN TURIN
The Demeglio family have been in the jewelry business since 1922. They welcomed their second child, Roberto in 1966. From an early age Roberto knew when he grew up that he wanted to be a restorer or a gold smith.
1979
STUDIES JEWELLERY IN VALENZA
When he turned 13 he moved from Turin to Valenza, the headquarter of jewelry making around world, to study and follow his dream. There, he went to school in the morning and spent his afternoons learning to be a goldsmith and a setter from master artisans.
1984
OPENS FIRST GOLDSMITH LABORATORY IN TURIN
At the age of 18 Roberto moved back to Turin and opened his first goldsmith laboratory.
1992
OPENS SHOWROOM IN TURIN
In 1992 Roberto opened his first showroom with his older brother Giuseppe. They were the perfect team. It was there Roberto started creating bespoke jewelry for many high-profile people around FIAT, which is the automobile factory in Turin. Due to these visits, his creativity got a feel for the materials used for automotive. He used the technology he learned to modernize the jewelry he created and aimed to create jewels that would be enjoyed every day by the people who would purchase his creations.
2002
TURNING POINT - CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE
In 2002 the sudden and tragic death of his beloved brother Giuseppe put an end to their successful collaboration. The grief forces Roberto to radically change his value and his outlook on life. With his new found awareness, Roberto found inspiration to create new collections that were initially distributed by other brands.
2004
LAUNCHES GIOCONDA - THE FIRST FLEXIBLE COLLECTION
In 2004 when he becomes a father for the first time, Roberto celebrated the birth of his daughter Giorgia with the launch of his first collection, Gioconda. Roberto’s Gioconda collection was a turning point in the jewelry world by mixing 18k gold, diamonds and stainless steel. He was the first to turn the classic tennis bracelet into a clasp-less bracelet. Creating the first jewel for the modern woman which is comfortable and easy to wear. From then on Roberto realized he can change the way people buy jewelry and base all his future creativity on the mechanism of the elastic spring that allows him to let go of the clasp for good.

    LAUNCHES DOMINO - THE FIRST CERAMIC
    At the end of 2005 Roberto celebrated the birth of his second child, Giuseppe by launching his first high-tech ceramic and diamond collection called Domino. This collection become his iconic masterpiece all around the world. Roberto starts making a name for himself by winning some international and prestigious design awards.

    OPENS THE AMERICAN MARKET
    To celebrate the birth of his 3rd child, Gemma, in 2012, he made a deal with a New-York based family to start distributing the Roberto Demeglio brand in the American market. It’s an instant and awesome success.
  3. 2014
    In 2014 Roberto discovered that his company was badly managed by some of his partners. Because of this, he was on the verge of bankruptcy. He did not give up and fought against all odds to pay every single debt back. Thanks to his resilience and obstinacy he managed to catch the attention of a few Turin-bases entrepreneur who gave him a second chance. After drastic internal restructuring, the brand is launched world-wide. With an ongoing research of materials and engineering solutions, Roberto challenges himself with every new collection to break the limits of what was thought impossible. He does it by always being true to his motto: “If you can dream it, you can do it” -Walt Disney
